Freedom Lyrics
Uggh!
Pull, pull
Wuh! <i>[Sung sorta like Michael Jackson]</i>
Come on!
Uggh!
Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list
Alive, never on a floppy disk
Inka, inka, bottle of ink
Paintings of rebellion
Drawn up by the thoughts I think
Yeah!
Come on!
The militant poet in once again, check it
It's set up like a deck of cards
They're sending us to early graves
For all the diamonds
They'll use a pair of clubs to beat the spades
With poetry I paint the pictures that hit
More like the murals that fit
Don't turn away
Get in front of it
Brotha, did ya forget ya name?
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal
Three brothers gone
Come on
Doesn't that make it three in a row?
<i>"Anger is a gift"</i>
Come on!
Uggh!
Check that!
Uggh!
Come on
Yeah
Uggh
Brotha, did ya forget ya name?
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe?
Yo, check the diagonal
Three million gone
Come on
'Cause they're counting backwards to zero
Environment
The environment exceeding on the level
Of our unconsciousness
For example
What does the billboard say?
"Come and play, come and play"
Forget about the movement
<i>"Anger is a gift"</i>
Yeeeaaahhhh!
Uggh!
Awww, bring that shit in!
Uggh!
Hey!
Freedom...yea...
Freedom...yea right...
Freedom...yeeeaaahhh!
Freedom!
Yea!
Freedom!
Yea right!
Freedom!
Yea!
Freedom!
Yea!
Right!
Pull, pull

ALright Let me try this..
First verse is about the indian guy who is mentioned already by someone else as a response and because of what happened to him, zachs thoughts come out..he is the militant poet..
Second verse ...Diamonds r Diamonds, clubs r clubs (police clubs)and a spade is a slang term for a coloured person.
Brotha, did ya forget ya name? Did ya lose it on the wall Playin' tic-tac-toe?
Playing a game distracts u from what really is goin on U play tic tac toe, the government plays games to (killing poeple) Check the diagonal(diagonal line goin down) 3 million gone comon (3 mill dead) Counting backwards to zero(diagonal line goin down and the game they play while u play tic tac toe)...
Another song on govt and corporation control over the people. Often used for the fight to free Leanard Peltier, a Native American accused of rebellious acts and incarcerated unjustly for more than 20 years.
"accused of rebellious acts".
"accused of rebellious acts".
what crap. he was convicted of murder.
what crap. he was convicted of murder.
the question is whether he got a fair trial and whether his parole is being blocked by the FBI.
the question is whether he got a fair trial and whether his parole is being blocked by the FBI.
He was convicted of a double murder which years later Rob Robideau (who was initially aquitted) admitted to. But because of US law, Peltier cannot be tried twice despite the fact that his innocence is blatantly obvious now. I think that answers the question as to whether or not he got a fair trial.

This is one of the best songs rage ever played...my screen name even contains the words anger is a gift
"Over 20 years...there's no proof...and he's still in jail!"
This song owns live. My fav. band, and this is my fav. song by them.
The anger is a gift bit - Stating the fact that if people never got angry, they wouldnt protest, make their voices heard. Maybe even fight for a just cause.
Best progressive Rage song probably, I just love the breakdown to the quiet solo.
