Phototropic Lyrics
Under light that I have never seen,
up to the light,
reach up to the blue.
Under light, under light,
reach up to the sun or you can run.
?
the smoothness of it all...
you will never fall.
You’ll never...
up to the light,
reach up to the blue.
reach up to the sun or you can run.
the smoothness of it all...
you will never fall.

Natural beauty of light I guess, excellent song though. Putting these lyrics up isn't the half of it either, the chilled out intro is incredible.
i suspect this thread is long dead but i reckon this song is about a plant/tree growing up towards the light of the sun. reaching up, sightless, instinctive. as for the lyrics above, i always hear 'reach up to the beam' and i think the first line of the second verse is 'send your roots' just my tuppence worth
This song is one of Kyuss' best. It is simply epic, intense and beautiful.
Could be about a plant growing (phototropism), spiritual enlightenment or simply one's peaceful death.
This is probably like Whitewater, an ode to the greatness of nature.
Tom mc and dakins seem to be on the right track trees, plants, natural beauty.
^^^Your tuppence worth is much appreciated - I'd always wondered what he said there.
Under light, that I have never seen. Up to the light, reach up to the beam.
Under light, under light... Reach up to the sun or you can run
Found the roof the smallness of it all Found the roof you will never fall
You'll never
You'll never
You'll never
roof? roof?? reach up to the beam?
roof? roof?? reach up to the beam?
is it about a joiner fixing someone's loft?
is it about a joiner fixing someone's loft?
last verse is: feel the root the smoothness of it all feel the root you will never fall...
last verse is: feel the root the smoothness of it all feel the root you will never fall...
lol awesome comment
It's about the effect light has on cannabis. It causes it to grow tall, dark and lanky. Kyuss is stoner rock, it's obviously another song about weed.
