One Inch Man Lyrics

One Inch Man, lonely soul
Two Inch Man (Two Inch Man), gimme more
Five steps and back, get him back
Three steps and up, get him up

Always so lonely, lonely, lonely
Always so lonely, lonely, lonely

Oh, One Inch Man, lonely soul
Two Inch Man, gimme more, more, more, more

Always so lonely, lonely, lonely
One Inch Man he's so lonely, oh he's breathin'

Damn my thoughts for you, do you really wanna fuck me?
Love my time for you, do you really wanna hold me?
Had my time for you, do you really wanna hold me?
Love my time for you, do you really wanna?

Always so lonely, One Inch Man, he's breathin'
Always so lonely, lonely, lonely
One Inch Man, he's so lonely, oh!

Poor dude. As first thought is the obvious: its a song about a REALLY tiny member. At second thought, it speaks of the man brought down to the size of one inch, a Liliputian running from Goliath.

i was curious as to what it meant, i didint think it could be as obvious as a small member. it makes a lot more sense witht they guy feeling really small. i think in the last verse the guys insecurities are coming out.

I think it's about his dick, which is small at first but gets a bit larger. Just look at these lyrics:

One Inch Man, he's so lonely, oh, he's breathing. Damn my thoughts for you, do you really wanna fuck me? Love my time for you, do you really wanna hold me? Am I time for you? Do you really wanna hold me? Love my time for you, do you really wanna?

and in the beginning "get him up"

This song is Radiohead back in the 1960's sans the pretensious attitude.

This song rocks.

i think when someone does feel insecure about an aspect of their personality (illustrated very well by a man's penis) they tend to blow the problem out of proportion and end up making it worse for themselves.

Damn my thoughts for you Love my time for you Am I time for you

Here someone does want to fuck the one inch man, but he's creating a problem where none exists, and ends up lonely. His partner is happy spending time/loving/being loved by the one inch man, but he's questioning that because he has a small dick.

So, in brief, its about creating problems for yourself by not accepting your short (ahem) comings.

I read an interview with John Garcia many years ago (circa 1997?) where he said this song reminded him of the times he went trout fishing, and catched nothing!

I think Kyuss lyrics are kind of like Sabbath lyrics around the Vol.4 album: John/Ozzy were so stoned, detached and/or far out that their lyrics always defy interpretation.

I think this is about an insecure guy probably with some sort of feeling (desire) toward a woman... The song mixes several aspects such as loneliness and insecureness and represents them phisically as the size of a pennis.

One Inch Man, [lonely] soul. Two Inch Man gimme more. Five steps and back, get him back. Three steps and/enough, get him up (Initially he feels lonely with no desire at all, suddenly he realizes of someone who turns him on [from one to two inches and wanting more]. Then he tries to get closer to this person but then regrets [5 steps and back], three steps are enough to get "him" up again)

Always so lonely, lonely, lonely (X3). X2 (The guy begins to feel bad about it and kind of curses his own behavior)

Oh, one Inch Man, A lonely soul. Yeah, yeah, Two Inch Man, Gimme more (X4). (Pretty much the same as in the first verses)

Always so lonely, lonely, lonely. One Inch Man, he's so lonely, oh, he's breathing. (he's lonely but he's alive after all)

Damn my thoughts for you, do you really wanna fuck me? Love my time for you, do you really wanna hold me? [Ain't the type] for you? Do you really wanna hold me? Love my time for you, do you really wanna? (The guy has strong feelings for that someone but he doesn't feel confident to show them. First he's upset [Damn my thoughts], then he makes up an excuse [I ain't the type for you] but in the end he's giving the other person the responsability of the final decision [of fucking, holding, anything])

Always so lonely, one Inch Man, he's breathing. Always so lonely (X3), one Inch Man, he's so lonely, oh! The same as above

Well it obviously is about a man with... undersized... genitalia, who sees no action, (see 'oh he's breathin', 'lonely', most of the lyrics) but I think it could metaphorically have other meanings woven into it. Maybe something like Silver Headed Monk said about someone who feels small or insignificant.

But then again, it's Kyuss, and was probably written when high.

this song is not about PENIS... think deeper. one inch man represents a man with little confidence, and maybe feeling like he can never find a girl who will love him for who he is. Again, when he says "do you really wana hold me/fuck me, i think thats more lack of confidence because hes saying hes insecure with himself....

just a thought

One Inch Man, lonely soul (he's insecure and lonely). Two Inch Man, Two Inch Man, gimme more (he's had a sex "fix" and becomes two inch man).

This man is not into love in the true sense. His relationships are about sex. His feelings of self worth are based on "scoring" sexually. He's never anything higher than two inch man for this reason. He's a "small" individual because of this maladjusted behavior, whether he scores or not. He's a womanizer using women for sex. He becomes temporarily gratified and moves onto the next one: Five steps back, get him back (he's moved onto another woman) Three steps up, get him up (give him an erection)

He doesn't know about love and none of his "relationships" are long and so he's "Always so lonely, lonely, lonely Always so lonely, lonely, lonely"

Damn my thoughts for you, do you really wanna fuck me? (I want no deep thoughts for you or of you, I just want to use you for sex). Love my time for you, do you really wanna hold me? (He thinks he's a sex god). Had my time for you, do you really wanna hold me? (Times up, I'm moving on). Love my time for you, do you really wanna? (I'm a sex god so love the time spent in my company)

Always so lonely, Once Inch Man, he's breathin' - his lifestyle gives him no real sustenance. All he can do is just about "breathe" after scoring.
