Bulletproof Lyrics
If you think you're bulletproof, you're right
Because you've weathered all my slings and arrows well
If you think I'm paranoid, that's fine
Because I've got evidence on my side
If you want to come over tonight
That's fine, because I have no plans
Please, be kind, don't drop the rock on me
How many blows to the belly will this thing take
That we refer to as our true love?
We both know it's dead and it's been dying for some time
But we refuse to let it go
Please, be kind, don't drop the rock on me
Don't go outside and discover that you like being free
Because if you did
You'd be dropping the rock on me
Because you've weathered all my slings and arrows well
If you think I'm paranoid, that's fine
Because I've got evidence on my side
That's fine, because I have no plans
That we refer to as our true love?
We both know it's dead and it's been dying for some time
But we refuse to let it go
Don't go outside and discover that you like being free
Because if you did
You'd be dropping the rock on me

so sad
oh gosh, i've been here before. I FEEL YA JENNY!
leave it to jenny to make such a sad song sound incredibly cute...yet..sad.
"Please, be kind, don't drop the rock on me Don't go outside and discover that you like being free Cause if you did You'd be dropping the rock on me"
that is beyond sad, its...adorable! man jenny has some seriously good talents at making me sad...i wish more people listened to her
jenny is singing about a fading love.
"If you think you're bulletproof, you're right Because you've weathered all my slings and arrows well If you think I'm paranoid, that's fine Cause I've got evidence on my side"
Apparently this man is indestructable, much like how they once viewed their love. it's dying, no matter what they do.
"Please, be kind, don't drop the rock on me Don't go outside and discover that you like being free Cause if you did You'd be dropping the rock on me"
"Bulletproof" is what they want to be. She doesn't want him to end it, hence the, "please, be kind. don't drop the rock on me."
this song is pretty obvious.
she beats this guy up verbally and it doesnt seem to phase him, but it all she see's seems justified to her. even though this guy puts her through hell she still wants to see him. their relationship has been through so much. so they decide to take a break. she doesnt want him to like being free too much while they're apart though and never want to get back together.
this song reminds me so much of one of my relationships.
This song sort of reminds me of the flower in "the little prince"
This song is soo sad but so great, a great listen and as for the lyrics they tear me apart Once again great song x
Of course this song is about a fading relationship but it always makes me think about a relationship where the people have put each other through hell, but they don't want to let it go. I always thought "if you think I'm paranoid that's fine 'cause I've got evidence on my side" was some kind of reference to past infidelity, and her getting suspicious again about it. And he gets mad at her, but she doesn't care because she feels like its justified. And she is a jerk to him with what she says to him. And I think the best line is "don't go outside and discover that you like being free, 'cause if you did you'd be dropping the rock on me" because even though she knows that their relationship is dead and they should just break it off because everything is wrong, she can't let it go. I love how simple this arrangement of this song is as well, with just vocals and guitar.
i absolutely love this song. it's sparse, minimalistic, and cute. her vocals are flawless and the melody is great.
O, RK... How I Miss Theeeee.....
