And I will awake
Your highness, I'm so high I cannot walk
And I will awake
You cripple, you take away my time, my peace, my empathy
No babies sleep on atrophy
Your unborn love and fetal's dress
My bitter candy fated less caress

Go for credit in the straight world
Look a dealer in the eye
Go for credit in the real world, won't you try
I got some credit in the straight world
I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world you will die
It's the credit in the straight world
Leave your money when you die
Lots of credit in the real world gets you high
I got some credit in the straight world
I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world, you will die

The song is partially about drugs: straight world=no drugs, real world=drugs. "Go for credit in the straight world / Look a dealer in the eye" Means a person can say apply for a credit card at a bank with confidence, etc. "Go for credit in the real world, won't you try?" Means it is impossible for a drug addict to have the same confidence / attitude when asking a dope dealer for drugs on credit. Can't be done.

this song is really just a cover by young marble giants and the lyrics are changed a bit so its harder to interperate... it's about money, and the straight world is the outside world and the real world is your world. it's about how hard it is to get money from the outside world and the only way to earn money instantly is by taking it from somebody who died, or being born in to it. it's also comparing money to drugs (look a dealer in the eye/gets you high)

I am sure that Courtny didn't write this about anything in her life. This song was wrote by Stuart Moxham. Look it up.

great song...too bad no one added any comments. courtney i think is trying to say that she now has credit in the real world since she's just not a name in the phone book. the real and straight world will kill you in the end anyway.

the begining bit is one of the verses from old age, which is a early nirvana song, but hole also did it and changed the lyrics. i don't know who wrote it first, kurt of courtney.
