Don't Ease Me In Lyrics
Don't ease, don't ease, don't ease me in.
I've been all night long commin' home, don't ease me in.
When I turned around sweet mama, she was way across town
So I'm walkin' down the street with a dollar in my hand
I've been lookin' for a woman sweet mama, ain't got no man.
The girl I love, she's sweet and true,
You the dress she wears, sweet mama, it's pink and blue,
She brings me coffee, she brings me tea,
She brings me 'bout every damm thing but the jailhouse keys.
I've been all night long commin' home, don't ease me in.
So I'm walkin' down the street with a dollar in my hand
I've been lookin' for a woman sweet mama, ain't got no man.
You the dress she wears, sweet mama, it's pink and blue,
She brings me coffee, she brings me tea,
She brings me 'bout every damm thing but the jailhouse keys.

Henry Thomas Recorded it some time between 1927 and 1928, He was a folk/blues singer, most likely more folk as his playing style is not really seen anywhere else recorded and predates "Blues" music so to say, he was an man in his 50's when he recorded these songs and Blues was just really becoming very popular.
His album "Ragtime Texas" is available at Document-Records.co.uk
This is a cover song, but I forgot who originally recorded it. He was a singer of like the 20s and 30s (maybe 40s) I think.
