Werewolves of London (Warren Zevon cover) Lyrics

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking thru the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for the place called Lee Ho Fook's
Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein
Hi ho, the werewolves of London
If you hear his howling around the kitchen door
You better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated last nite
Werewolves of London again
Hi ho, werewolves of London
He's the hairy-handed gent who ran amuck in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him, he'll rip your lungs out Jim
I'd like to meet his tailor
Hi ho, werewolves of London
Well, I saw Lon Cheney walking with the Queen
Doing the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Cheney Jr. walking with the Queen
I saw a werewolf dringing a pina colada at Trader Vic's
And his hair was perfect
Hi ho, the werewolves of London, draw blood

The images here are really ugly and scary. I do remember watching Lon Cheney Jr. as the werewolf in many movies. He was not to blame for his condition. He deserved our compassion.

haha

The first time this song was played by the band they had no prior experience with this song. Before a show the guys were warming up backstage and they were debating over which song to open with. Bobby suggested to open with Werewolves of London but Jerry said that he didnt know any of the words. Bobby decided he would take the lyrics, and the guys played it very well.
