hahaha....I've never heard this song. I stumbled across it when looking for Paul McCartney and Wings songs. My guess is that this song is about the time that everybody thought Paul died. It's kind of obvious.

Woo hoo... I'm the first one to make a comment on this song. :) Anyways, this is a great song, probably my favorite of theirs. I think its about a guy who just can't forget his ex, and his new girlfriend knows it. However, she goes on pretending that everything is just peachy while waiting for him to break. The thing I don't understand though is the part about if Paul were still alive. Obviously he's still alive, so does that mean artistically maybe? Like his songs were so important to them they wish he was still really involved?

its just sarcasm, the whole "paul is dead" thingy. sr-71 does a lot of beatles covers...i can only assume they're huge fans (or at least mitch is anyway)
