You're Lost Little Girl Lyrics

You're lost little girl
You're lost little girl
You're lost
Tell me who
Are you?
I think that you know what to do
Impossible? Yes, but it's true
I think that you know what to do, yeah
I'm sure that you know what to do
You're lost little girl
You're lost little girl
You're lost
Tell me who
Are you?
I think that you know what to do
Impossible? Yes, but it's true
I think that you know what to do, girl
I'm sure that you know what to do
You're lost little girl
You're lost little girl
You're lost

This is definately my favorite song from the album, especially this part: "I think that you know what to do Impossible? Yes, but it's true" I think this song's about people in general who aren't really true to themself; people who tend to lie to themselves and not do what they know they should be doing.

Robby wrote this song. Jim originally didn’t want to sing it.

Confirmed that Robby wrote it. Not sure why Jim wouldn't want to sing it, other than the fact that the lyrics seems a little weaker than something Jim would have written.

Seems to me it may be about Jim.

I think it actually relates to the story, Alice in Wonderland. She was a lost little girl. One of the characters in the story even told her "You're lost, Alice." Also, the hookah-smoking caterpillar kept asking her "Who are you?", whereas Alice would reply something along the lines of "I don't know, because I'm not myself."

And all of us know that the Alice in Wonderland story is a metaphor for the effects of drugs.

For me, this song is about losing yourself in someone, and discovering a part of yourself at the same time. Then, losing that someone... and feeling lost without them.

My Interpretation

"Love her madly, need her badly, want to be her daddy." Sure, it is the one that got away, but it reminds me of the experiences I had with girls that didn't know what they wanted. But, such experiences may color your eyes a certain way in which you view women. There is a Freudian aspect to this song. "Love her madly, want to be her daddy." as if to say that women are like children. Jim Morrison had a similar sentiment: "You're lost little girl."

Im lost in this sea of nothingness
