With a Little Luck Lyrics

With A Little Luck, We Can Help It Out.
We Can Make This Whole Damn Thing Work Out.
With A Little Love, We Can Lay It Down.
Can't You Feel The Town Exploding?

There Is No End To What We Can Do Together.
There Is No End, There Is No End.
The Wiliow Turns His Back On Inclement Weather;
And If He Can Do It, We Can Do It, Just Me And You,

And A Little Luck, We Can Clear It Up.
We Can Bring It In For A Landing,
With A Little Luck, We Can Turn It On.
There Can Be No Misunderstanding.

There Is No End To What We Can Do Together.
There Is No End, There Is No End.
The Willow Turns His Back On Inclement Weather;
We Can Do It, Just Me And You.

With A Little Push, We Could Set It Off.
We Can Send It Rocketing Skywards.
With A Little Love, We Could Shake It Up.
Don't You Feel The Comet Exploding?

With A Little Luck.
With A Little Luck.
With A Little Luck, A Little Luck, A Little Luck.
With A Little Luck.
With A Little Luck.
With A Little Luck, A Little Luck, A Little Luck.

Great track. Underrated. Lyrically I think it's simply an optimistic 'relationship' song. Kind of along the lines of We Can Work It Out.

If you've only heard this song on the radio you owe it to yourself to hear it on CD. It's got layers and layers of keyboards and little nuances that get lost on radio. Also, the single version of this cut out the best verse - the part about Rocketing Skywards, sung in Pauls 'screamer' voice, like Oh Darling.

I think this is a message from Paul to John about how they should write together again. In an early Lennon song, "Isolation", Lennon sings "the world is just a little town". In this song, Paul sings here "can't you feel the town exploding". If you substitute "world" for "town" in " "With a Little Luck" it's like Paul is saying the world would "explode" if we resumed our songwriting together. Other clues in the lyrics are, "there is no end to what we can do together, etc. we can do it, just me and you". I happen to be one of those who thinks that this same message to John existing quite a few songs of the 70s. This song also is good musically in an of itself and there is more than a passing resemblance between this song and "My Life" by Billy Joel. Structurally they are almost identical although note by note you wouldn't see it. Obviously Joel was influenced by McCartney there.
