Rumour has it....that this song is an homage to Lennon...
Paul cops John's production/writing style....
A smarter man than I told me so........I believe him..
ya gots that right this track would be a hell of an homage to the Legendary Lennon if that little rumour is true! rock on people!
Is it really a drug-related song?? I hope not. First Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds, now this :(
ScottishMindset- there are A LOT more drug related Beatle (and solo Beatle) songs than Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Got to Get You Into My Life, for example.
man, I love this song. I honestly don't think it has anything to do with drugs. he says "my heart is like a wheel" which is followed by let me roll it, which, alone, sounds like ohh drugs! but it's preceding line changes everything.
I think it's very "Lennon". It is Paul singing Lennon. Beautiful.
I think it has double meaning, in one hand talks about love, girls and stuff, but in the other hand the secret meaning of the song is to have fun about Lennon, calling him something like pot head, like: eeeh John you always talking bout love and deep things but look at you! You are just a poor old pot-head, just shout up your jiberish and LET ME ROLL IT TO YOU
still a sweet track, that guitar guitar riff kicks some serious arse!
this song reminds me of "I Want You" by The Beatles when they were together. just the timed out guitar riff that adds the tension at a timed spot. idk just my point of view.
Buddy11 is too right, a wise person told me the same thing. I thought it was strange though, considering the lyrics... "I Want To Tell You That You're Going To Be Mine"
