Someone In The Road Lyrics

I was riding down the highway when I thought I spotted someone in the road
I said, "You going my way?"
And he turned his head and said, "Man, I don't know."
So I asked about his government and he turned
his head and began to laugh
And I asked him, "What you running from?"
And he said, "My man, I'm runnin from my past."

And we laughed aloud, and sang aloud
And then we drank a brew
I didn't think a thought about Mr. Brown,
he's through
There's no need to come around unless you're true.
Someone in the road

Well we kept on driving down that road for about
an hour and a half.
The way that we wre moving left half myself
reflecting in the past.
Tired of endless talking, stopped the car and
started walking down a path.
Lifted spirits to my head, Lord knows that anger
never lasts.

And we laughed aloud, and sang aloud
And then we drank a brew
I didn't think a thought about Mr. Brown,
he's through
There's no need to come around unless you're true.

not exactly sure, but its a theme in a lot of songs ("about mr. brown" for example) it could be like..the person the conforms to society, or someone that makes wrong choices. or pretty much whoever it is to you. the great thing about OAR songs is that they can apply to so many different things.

Pretty much every song on "The Wanderer" album is based off the short story "The Wanderer"...they have used this story to influence their songs in many ways. Yet all the other albums feed off of it to. I think it is amazing what they have done music wise.
