In the early days, the Beatles gave themselves stage names - Paul was Paul Ramon. So he's singing to himself "Ram on" = "Ramon". This also means that in calling his second solo album Ram, he was just saying McCartney again. Sort of.

I think he's just singing one of his little love songs, he's just saying fall in love with somebody right now. His solo work doesnt make much sense though, so dont worry about it.

People always obsess about John & Paul badmouthing each other in their songs at this time (or any other). There were 1 or 2 songs like that and then it was done. Everyone gets mad in relationships once in a while. I love this album as well as John's. It's great music.
