Still the greatest song ever!

this is such a fantastic song. so beautiful, brian wilson's falsetto lead is heartbreaking.

I like the harmonies on the track, and the fact that it is then followed by Catch A Wave, another of my favourite tracks. What does everyone else think of this song? Hit, or miss?

I think this song is awesome, I can remember it playing at school and dancing with my friend, its a beautiful song and it brings back great memories. definitely not a miss

Apparently quoting off the top of my head from the liner notes, this was the first song that Brian ever wrote. The melody was based upon "When You Wish Upon A Star".

Anyone who surfs, really anyone period has had (or wanted) a "surfer girl." Will always be a classic surf love song. Tried to get the DJ to play it at my prom in 1996, but the dick though it was too "old school" or some shit. There are only two way to appreciate this song, with LOVE or with tons of LOVE!
