Cricket Lyrics

I never thought about it before. Just close your eyes and ignore the dark that troubles you most.
Don't let it be here.
And if you see it again, hold your breath and pretend that you're already dead.
You'll never be alone.
I will always hold your hand.
I'll never let you fall, cause nothing else matters at all.
If you're scared just think of me cause you know i'd never let you be anywhere but with me.
Forget the story you heard.
Why are you worried about the dirt?
I don't think that you'll mind when it's your time cause i will be there with you and we'll figure out what to do sso that you don't get bored.
You'll never be alone.
I will always hold your hand.
I'll never let you fall, cause nothing else matters at all.
If you're scared just think of me cause you know i'd never let you be anywhere but with me.
So try to sleep with a smile.
I promise i'll wait a while to make sure that you moved on.
You won't be lost.
I will always hold your hand.
I'll never let you fall, cause nothing else matters at all.
If you're scared just think of me cause you know i'd never let you be anywhere but with me.

alright since this is SONGMEANINGS.NET... i think one of us should say what it means... alright... To me this Song means: (an essay by Kate) Ok.. its about kids wondering about what its like to die, and if people will care if they do... suicide, and whatnot. (someone tell me if im wrong) but "Are you worried about the dirt" the dirt that covers the coffin in the grave.

"I promise i'll wait a while to make sure that you moved on."- like before the friend goes on and lives their life, and stops crying over his friend...

"And if you see it again, hold your breath and pretend that you're already dead. "- being dead as being a state of mind rather than a physical being. or.. like Practicing being dead....

alright... laterr

I didn't really like DHC until I heard this song, and when I did, I fell in love. Their voices go so well together, and these lyrics just put a positive look on anything.

"You'll never be alone. I will always hold your hand."

For some reason, as simple as those lyrics are, it just hits me every time...

i think its about someone they're close to thats sick and might die.

i think it's something about one of their close friends being suicidal, and they are saying think about what it would be like to be dead, you'd be alone forever, then they go on to say that they will be there for that person forever. that they will never let that person do that and they want them to be happy. something like that, i'm probably way off, but that's what i got from it. it's a great song.

To me this is a conversation from God's perspective soothing one's thoughts on one of the most abstract, yet universally absolute fears: death.
