Xeroxed Lyrics
Fall from grace
False Messiah
Laid to waste
Amidst desire
Never found the fuel that feeds the fire of your passion
Carbon copy Xeroxed soul redundant thought assassin
Regurgitate all you hear and claim it as your own
Step on those from which you stole on your path to the throne
Sink your teeth in decadence
Manipulate the crown
Drink the wine and toast us all
For we will take you down
False Messiah
Laid to waste
Amidst desire
Carbon copy Xeroxed soul redundant thought assassin
Regurgitate all you hear and claim it as your own
Step on those from which you stole on your path to the throne
Manipulate the crown
Drink the wine and toast us all
For we will take you down

Anyhoo. Allow me to ellaborate even if it is months later. They're talking about all these shitty bands that rule the charts with their "half-assed kiddy pop almost metal but sorta hip hop anything to sell 4 million records" garbage music. We're talking your typical P.O.D., Disturbed, Korn, Limp Bizkit...you know. Mtv bullshit. Actually even though I have to be up for work in three hours I'll just break this down line by line....bear wif me here. FALL FROM GRACE---when they're gone...one hit wonders FALSE MESSIAH---claiming to be what they're not...top of the music world wielding some sort of clout LAID TO WASTE---left behind in the music world AMIDST DESIRE---the tendency towards abuse of drugs, alcohol, women, and those around them NEVER FOUND THE FUEL THAT FEEDS THE FIRE FOR YOU PASSION---never truly inspired towards music, rather in it for the money and power CARBON COPY XEROXED SOUL REDUNDANT THOUGHT ASSASSIN---ripping off other people ideas REGURGITATE ALL YOU HEAR AND CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN---ripping off other peoples music and laying claim to it STEP ON THOSE FROM WHICH YOU STOLE ON YOUR PATH TO THE THRONE---using those whose music they've emulated as a way to the top (TRL) SINK YOUR TEETH IN DECADENCE MANIPULATE THE CROWN---back the rock star lifestyle and then a reference to these bands claiming to be so superior DRINK THE WINE AND TOAST US ALL FOR WE WILL TAKE YOU DOWN---self explanatory
I've seen MH a few times and I have all their cd's and I find that the two person lyrical writing makes the words incredibly complex and ambiguous...but this is just Jmann so it's not as difficult. Ok i have to be up at 5 so I can continue my subversive disentient tactics. Peace off
the little girly giggle at the beginning is damn scary at about 1 in the morning in the pitch black
Good song, it's about how everyone is just a xeroxed copy of everything around them, "regurgitate all you hear and claim it as your own"
kinda obvious
emodave, if you would take the time to listen to any of mushroomheads songs you might be able to tell they are originals. ive tryed but i cant place them as a wannabe for any other metal band, they have a lot of talent and are a great band. i would suggest you stick to your nsync for your "no-talent" comments
emodave's comment is so beyond wrong that isnt even worth my time to try and point out how utterly ignorant of musical ability he must be to say that Mushroomhead have no talent.....its almost laughable at how he must have spent all night trying to come up with something clever to say, but thats all he could think up....actually its more sad than laughable.
This song is about shitty bands like Metallica that I listened to in 6th grade....and how they make their way to the top as false kings. Read the words, man.
@adamizer How did Metallica make their way to the top as false kings?? Even their "black" album was a serious metal album when it came out (I know at that time it was released it was too heavy for my fragile little ears ... ACDC etc. were ruling the airwaves). If anything Metallica opened the metal genre up to a huge market especially considering that glam metal was the main experience most people had with metal at that time.

rancid is really good....... i like this song...i dont know what it means but what ademizer said sounds about right... ~heather~
if any of u would know the history of Mushroomhead the meaning of this song would be clear to u. this song is about how slipknot stole their ideas and took their fame. like the masks which shroom started wearing b4 slipknot and when universal i believe signed slipknot instead of shroom because shoom turned it down, they thought the were better kuz they got the deal first. also how mushroomhead will raise higher and mighter than slipknot will ever become.
If you look at the actual history of bands like mushroomhead and slipknot, neither of the mentioned began the masked concept nor do slipknot and mushroomhead bear any dislike towards each other. It says so on the mushroomhead and slipknot websites.

i may be an emo fan but mushroomhead kicks ass! im sorry they are origional and i love them, there arent many metal bands i like but this is one of the few!
In my opinion, this song has to be one of the most aggressive-sounding songs out there today. It just sounds evil. Go try playing this song really loud in your car as you drive by large groups of people (like by a mall or university campus). Watch their reactions. They look at you like you're the spawn of satan or something! I've had people actually run away from my car as I was listening to this song! IT'S AWESOME! MUSHROOMHEAD ROCKS!!
