i think it's rather obvious, she started to have a relationship with someone but realized that she didnt wanna be with this person, whether for her sake or his sake, or simply just lack of true interest..

I've had this lovely Cardigans song on high rotation for the last few weeks and my take on the meaning is quite different from all the previous posts. Personally I think the key to the song meaning is the line "I just don't want it to grow" I feel Nina is referring to unplanned pregnancy, not love or a relationship. Throughout the whole song the somber overtone feels more unsettling and painful than just a generic love gone bad situation. "Erase and rewind, cause I've been changing my mind", has Nina already terminated her pregnancy and is regretting the decision or perhaps ruing the actual conception.

But for me, the first verse is like: someone takes certain liberties with you... it's okay cause your in a good place with that person. But then, time passes, the relationship isn't good because something about their attitude and behaviour has changed. Oh oh. "No no leave me out of it this time. I already moved on"

"Where did you see me go..." I think this is like looking into the future. Maybe the singer realises she is on the wrong path and that other person is part of the problem.
