I think this song is about humanity ignoring the problems in the world, pretending it's not happening or they're not to blame. The person taking us on the journey through this album makes a new year's resolution to end his part in the wrong doing, and learn the result of mankind's acts (war, pollution, etc.).
Could these lyrics be rather about overcoming alcoholism?
@almansor I don't think so. This is a conceptual album and Daniel has spoken before about it, saying that the whole album is about the human blame on disrupting the nature and themselves with war and pollution.
