Sally Brandy is invited to a party, unaware that is a sex party where she is groomed into participating. "Oh, isn't it nice when you find your heart is made out of ice". her being desensitized is being romanticized from the perspective of the groomer.
The Lou Reed lyrics are much more offensive than the original lyrics. In this one sounds like she's about to get gang-raped. He's obviously talking about a party where she is expected to be the entertainment.
Clearly about sex, at least in my opinion, but not sure what he is saying about Sally and sex.

It sounds like Sally may be a virgin and she's having sex for the first time, but she might not be ready. Or perhaps after her first experience she figured out she doesn't like guys and she likes girls better. Not sure, but there seems to be a thread of both inexperience and indecision throughout the song.
I'm not sure if the contusion means Sally is being threatened or he's talking metaphorically. Like the confusion is going to hurt her head.

@laura10140 It's easy to see how you could think that — when Sally Ride (her name is spelled "Ride" BTW) got famous, unsurprisingly, plenty of people made inane references to this song — but @Baritone55 has it right. Ride was born in '51. I'm not sure how @Baritone55 knows the song was written that early; I don't recall ever seeing it listed on any of the VU's live concert listings, and whenever it was written, it didn't make it onto a studio album until 1974's Sally Can't Dance. (Notably, the title song also referenced a "Sally;"...

(Many of those of us who were nerdy little girls in the '80s practically worshipped her; my college roommate attributed to Ride her own aspiration to become an astronaut.)
