In The Beginning Lyrics
In the beginning
Good always overpowered the evils
Of all man's sins...
But in time
The nations grew weak
And our cities fell to slums
While evil stood strong...
In the dusts of hell
Lurked the blackest of hates
For he whom they feared
Awaited them...
Now, many many lifetimes later
Lay destroyed, beaten, beaten down
Only the corpses of rebels
Ashes of dreams
And blood-stained streets.......
And it has been written
"Those who have the youth
Have the future"
So come now, children of the beast
Be strong
And Shout at the Devil
Good always overpowered the evils
Of all man's sins...
But in time
The nations grew weak
And our cities fell to slums
While evil stood strong...
In the dusts of hell
Lurked the blackest of hates
For he whom they feared
Awaited them...
Now, many many lifetimes later
Lay destroyed, beaten, beaten down
Only the corpses of rebels
Ashes of dreams
And blood-stained streets.......
And it has been written
"Those who have the youth
Have the future"
So come now, children of the beast
Be strong
And Shout at the Devil

Wow, nobody's commented yet! Great album intro, it reminded me of those movie's with somebody talking about some legend or something at the beginning of it. Cool lyrics!
From Autumn to Ashes used this as their intro their shows back in 2004 when they toured with Killswitch Engage, Eighteen Visions, & 36 Crazyfists.
This is the first track i ever heard from motley crue back when i was 9 years old. From then on i was hooked.
“In the Beginning”. the first three words of Our Holy Bible…. This somehow escapes people minds. The Words in that book hold power, true power. I believe the strength that the Lord built into words is what is bastardized in witchcraft and black magic…. so placing these words “In the Beginning” of your album lathers it in strength and power right from The Beginning.
