Wander This World Lyrics
The tar in the streets starts to melt from the heat
And the sweats runnin' down from my hair
I walked twenty miles and I'm draggin' my feet
I'll walk twenty more, I don't care
I'll wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world all alone.
I'm like a ghost some people can't see
Others just drive by and stare
A shadow that drifts by the side of the road
It's like I'm not even there
And I'll wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world all alone.
Well I've never been part of the game
The live that I live is my own
All that I know is that I was born
To wander this world all alone
All alone.
Some people are born with their lives all laid out
And all their success is assured
Some people work hard all their lives for nothin'
They take it, and they don't say a word
They don't say a word
Sometimes it's like I don't even exist
Even God has lost track of my soul
So why else would he leave me out here like this
To wander the world all alone
And I'll wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander thic world,
Wander this world all alone.
And the sweats runnin' down from my hair
I walked twenty miles and I'm draggin' my feet
I'll walk twenty more, I don't care
Wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world all alone.
Others just drive by and stare
A shadow that drifts by the side of the road
It's like I'm not even there
Wander this world,
Wander this world,
Wander this world all alone.
The live that I live is my own
All that I know is that I was born
To wander this world all alone
All alone.
And all their success is assured
Some people work hard all their lives for nothin'
They take it, and they don't say a word
They don't say a word
Even God has lost track of my soul
So why else would he leave me out here like this
To wander the world all alone
Wander this world,
Wander thic world,
Wander this world all alone.

It's tough being a hobo.
Or if you want to get into it more, you could take the physical wandering as a symbol of something deeper. People "wander" around looking for solutions to their problems, but they don't get any help--some people ignore them, "others just drive by and stare" while you're there, but they still don't do anything.
this could either be literally taken as a hobo wandering this streets, or as a depressed human being living a monotous life who feels as if they are just wandering numbly through life. johnny lang is suuch a powerful singer.
For the hobo interpretation of this song, people don\'t do anything about the hobo\'s problems because 1) They are busy with their own lives, 2), they don\'t know what to do because they don\'t know the hobo personally, 3), They are just as poor as the hobo, so they can\'t help, or 4), they are biased against hobos. For the depressed people looking for solutions to their problems, people don\'t do anything but stare because 1)They don\'t know what their problems are, so they can\'t help, 2) They are staring because the person is making a scene in public, 3)They think that because it\'s not happening to them means it doesn\'t exist. The line about God contributing to his loss makes it a religion rant song because he has committed some grave sin that is unforgivable, and this is his punishment for the sin he committed.
