Running from the police
Right
Gotta stay low key
Right
Got that thang on me we don't like to hesitate
So homie please don't get up on the way
You don't know me
Nah
Homie you don't know me
Nah
You should keep it that way got the homie with the shots
And he won't hesitate
think twice before you make a mistake
Ghetto Gutter gotta be a gunner
Don't fuck with me in this hot ass summer
Once I'm rolling with a extra runner
Shit's hot so I stash the burner
They got the little homie right by the corner
Here comes that bitch ass reporter
Making money every time we hit the border
Juvenile court had a big ass folder
Locking legs with mothafuckas that was older
Shut yo mouth before you get one in the shoulder
And I ain't stopping till it's over
Hold it down like a true fucken soldier
All through the way just been getting colder
A little bolder but fuck being sober
It's big trust and I come with mo' dust
Making your ears constantly bust
Running from the police
Right
Gotta stay low key
Right
Got that thang on me we don't like to hesitate
So homie please don't get up on the way
You don't know me
Nah
Homie you don't know me
Nah
You should keep it that way got the homie with the shots
And he won't hesitate
Think twice before you make a mistake
Think twice before you make a mistake
Gamble with the dice so the price you gon' pay
I can see it in yo' eyes all that shit be fake
Steady telling all them lies but yo' ass gon' break
Cus it's war outside ain't nobody getting saved
Strap on my side please don't get up in my way
V.O.T.G that's the voice of the ghetto
That boy Big E steady clutching heavy metal
It get official popping pistols when you in my zone
Little homie heard a whistle so he cocked up on his chrome
Playing suckas like a fiddle now he laid up on the floor
I ain't leaving no riddles letting mothafuckas know
What's up Trust they can get it broad day
My gun bust East Side L Gang
Ain't no love for you punks ain't no love for you lames
I do this for my hood until the day I'm in my grave
Running from the police
Right
Gotta stay low key
Right
Got that thang on me we don't like to hesitate
So homie please don't get up on the way
You don't know me
Nah
Homie you don't know me
Nah
You should keep it that way got the homie with the shots
And he won't hesitate
Think twice before you make a mistake
Sat on my prison bunk writing these lyrics
Hoping that someday you fools get to hear this
Doing them burpies for wind and appearance
Building them soldiers that don't know what fear is
But you know damn well we know what respect is
Give it to you then believe it's expected back
Music is a drug get injected
Haters spreading germs don't get infected
Did time and surrounded by a fence and shit
Summertime know the yard getting tense a bit
So you gotta stay focus if them lenses fit
Survived that and fuck tryina make sense of it
Just don't look back keep pushing to the top
They tried to block this but it'll never stop
Creeping up slowly but surely homies and parolees
You haters don't know me
Running from the police
Right
Gotta stay low key
Right
Got that thang on me we don't like to hesitate
So homie please don't get up on the way
You don't know me
Nah
Homie you don't know me
Nah
You should keep it that way got the homie with the shots
And he won't hesitate
Think twice before you make a mistake

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
