you are all wrong. this song is not about a girl at all. it is actually about when a friend betrays you. "And I hope your new friends will treat you just as well, For all the hard work you've done to gain their acceptance". basicly a friend has left him for another person and he feels betrayed. which is something that we all have delt with and why i love this song. i also know for a fact that its about friendship becuase the first time i saw boy sets fire live he said it was. and it was sooooooo good live too
Maybe this is about when ur so sick of a friend because of the way they've treated you that everything doesn't matter anymore, like if you've known each other for years, you don't care anymore, because you can now see ur friend for who she/he really is.
