Really Here Lyrics
I noticed it when I walked out
My small white world
was closing down
I wondered, I would always wonder
Why I am always sober
and every one is loaded
and it gets old
Well I bow out now
I refuse
So what if I waver, I fall
I'll always
I will always notice
Speak up when I'm called on
Everyone gets older
Oh well
I'm not really here
My small white world
was closing down
I wondered, I would always wonder
Why I am always sober
and every one is loaded
and it gets old
Well I bow out now
I refuse
So what if I waver, I fall
I'll always
I will always notice
Speak up when I'm called on
Everyone gets older
Oh well
I'm not really here

No way, this song is much deeper than that. I believe that he is talking about how he feels like he is the only one in the whole world who is seeing everything clearly while everyone else is all confused and involved in pointless things. And he is also talking about giving into them and living an empty life with everyone else. So i guess you could take it as a straight edge song but i really think its way beyond that.
This is one of my favorite far songs. Kind of a straight edge song to me, but without saying I'm cooler. Many of the "I AM STRAIGHT EDGE!" (uh hum, earth Crisis) make it like if you aren't straight edge there is something wrong with you. Jonah doesn't do that here, he just tells a story...a story how I can often feel when I'm always sober and everyone is loaded.
