no idea what this song is about but i am kinda disapointed no one has commented on this song.. just another diamond in the ruff.
i think it's about a boy (jonah perhaps?) who always wanted to make something of himself, or get out in the world.The way was paved for him but he was too caught up in the fact that he's getting out, that he never knew what to do when it happened.
I think "waitingforsunday" is spot-on with this one. To me, the meaning of the lyrics are pretty obvious and straight-forward . Eloquence without verbosity. It reads like a short poem.
As can be related to by a lot of us, the opportunities were presented, but never jumped on. The ambitions were there, but the motivation was not. He even moved out West because of all of the "potential", but didn't get anywhere. Now everything passed him by and he feels like he has no more control and doesn't know what to do.
