Every Double Life Lyrics
These are models of my own design
Two circles never meeting
One in 92 and 95
And it's all been up to me
May not listen to my own advice
It can be so overwhelming
There are strains on every double life
But you won't hear me complain
Yes it's true
You knew
You believed it
You should just turn
And walk away
Took a compliment and photograph
Committed it to memory
Model of how not to act
At least not imitate
Wouldn't it have been ideal
If it all fell down from heaven
How am I supposed to feel
When I know what you did wrong
Yes it's true
You knew
You believed it
You should just turn
And walk away
Yes it's true
You knew
I was leaving
We're under the same sky line today
Two circles never meeting
One in 92 and 95
And it's all been up to me
It can be so overwhelming
There are strains on every double life
But you won't hear me complain
You knew
You believed it
You should just turn
And walk away
Committed it to memory
Model of how not to act
At least not imitate
If it all fell down from heaven
How am I supposed to feel
When I know what you did wrong
You knew
You believed it
You should just turn
And walk away
You knew
I was leaving
We're under the same sky line today

This song mellows me out at nighttime.
Oh my gosh, this song sounds almost exactly like a Jimmy Eat World song, but I can't remember what it's called. It's a really good song, though. But the JEW one (while the recording quality of it is crappy as hell) has some lines in it that go "Sure I'm gonna let you go/I was wrong to ever trust you/ Don't think that you'll ever know/ How you could be so cruel...It's all clear, I can hear/ And I'm not gonna share you with no one/ Surprise, I've got eyes/ Now goodbye..." Both EXCELLENT songs. Check out the JEW one on the singles album.
I never listen to my advice... never... and even if it's not what the songs about.. the first line just sticks out
emostartistchik...the song is called "spangle" and i know what you mean, they sound exactly the same...well, if "spangle" had been acoustic. it's bizarre. a good song nonetheless.
this song seems like its a response to Spangle. "two circles never meeting" is like she's hiding two guys from eachother. and in Spangle, the narrator found out he was being cheated on and had to let her go.
spangle is a cover song. the original is by the wedding present, a british band. also has anyone heard the full band version of this song? simply freaking incredible.
