This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Hoping that I see you on the street
It's your kind of day
Nothing has the color of your eyes
Train leaving gray
And I'll never love no one
The way I loved you
I never thought that love
Could come true
Driving 'round the city in your car
Down low in the seat
Coming home and getting into bed
Smiling in your sleep
I'll never love no one
The way I loved you
You've never loved no one
Have you?
Hoping that I see you on the street
It's your kind of day
Nothing has the color of your eyes
Train leaving gray
It's your kind of day
Nothing has the color of your eyes
Train leaving gray
And I'll never love no one
The way I loved you
I never thought that love
Could come true
Driving 'round the city in your car
Down low in the seat
Coming home and getting into bed
Smiling in your sleep
I'll never love no one
The way I loved you
You've never loved no one
Have you?
Hoping that I see you on the street
It's your kind of day
Nothing has the color of your eyes
Train leaving gray

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
The line "hoping that I'll see you on the street" is what I've been thinking about too. It seems so universal to miss an ex and desire to strike up a relationship again. Only calling seems desperate, like you haven't moved on - even if you haven't for some reason you never want to admit that. That is weird - you should be able to admit to someone that you've missed them, it shouldn't just be a game. So the spontaneous meeting on the street is all there is to hold out for, even if it is for a hopeless love.
