Bhikku Lyrics
I mistreated my mother
Doubted my brother
Suffered under that
Now that I have presented
And courtly defended
Like my life depended
On this separation to carry me through
Make my dreams come true
And keep me tough
It became apparent what judgment will bring
And I'm nothing
Without their love
And oh strange blossom
One day you whither
It's time I faced it
I am no different
And oh little Bhikku I know the way
To keep your thoughts
On a path that's true
Oh little Bhikku I know the words
To mend your heart
When it bleeds straight through
Cuz your heart is broken
You've had enough
You scream and scream
But you don't make a sound
Listen little Bhikku
For your own good
You got to take that pain and
Lay it down
Down strange blossom
One day you wither
It's time I faced it
I am no different
Oh strange blossom
One day you wither
It's time I faced it
I am no different
Each new night at the the same old time
The lake gets drunk on the moon
And the willow trees on the water line
Sweep them gently back like brooms
And up on the porch the light still shines
From the kindness you've shown
As long as I'm part of this symphony
Know that you are not alone

i could be wrong, but i think this song is all about buddhist ideals and the lives that the bhikkhus [monks] have to lead. to me the beginning stanza is about karma [mistreated my mother, doubted my brother, suffered under that]. also, buddhism has a strong connection with nature, so the comparison to the wilting blossom and himself makes sense of that also. this is all just my opinion, but it seems plausible to me
