one of ben's better songs, he is trying to find the right path in life. he feels he hasnt taken it but knows that somebody out there is holding it from him. thats what i think

its no real secret that ben is a Christian, and i'd say he's dropping a subtle hint that Christ is the one road to freedom. the fact that he mentions conflicting emotions is the struggle to continue to walk that path, as well as acknowledging that this life when lived in full is very difficult.
