She Was Hot Lyrics

New York was cold and damp
TV is just a blank
Looks like another dead end sunday
What about an early night
Monday never feels so bright
Ooh the sheets feel cold and lonely
Who wants to brave the pouring rain
For a glass of french champagne
Grab a cab, grab a cab, and baby, come right by

But she was hot - as she kissed my mouth
She was hot - as i wiped her brow
She was hot - she pinned me to the ground
She was quick - she knew her way around
She was hot - and she tore my clothes
She was hot - she had no place to go
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

Detroit was smoky grey
Nothing like the good old days
I got a fever that i'm fighting
I don't need your company
Leave me in my misery
I can take the rebound just like lightning

And she was hot - in a 50's dress
She was hot - her lips were flashing red
I was lost - in her burning flesh
I was hot - i was dripping sweat
She was hot- in the Detroit snow
She was hot - she had no place to go
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

And she was hot - and I had the blues
She was hot - honey where were you
If you were in my shoes
You would be excused
She was hot- you can never wait
She was hot - never hesitate
She was hot - on a cold and rainy night

I think I'm going off the rails
Riding down the pleasure trails
Always take your passion where you find it
Honey when you were young and fresh
And you need the touch of flesh
Go take the treasure where you find it

But she was hot - in the melted snow
She was hot - in the molten glow
She was hot - she got it in the blood
She was hot - like the dam that's burst
She was strong - she was strong and true
She was black - and her eyes were blue
She was lost - and she took a chance
At just a brief romance
Down the avenue
Into the lost bayou
Into the tall bamboo
Into the human zoo
I wish you all the best
I hope we meet again
In a cold Chicago night

She was hot, hot, hot...

This was my fave off of Undercover, love the chuck berry style guitar, chord progressions (esp how the last verse throws in an extra few measures). The vocal stylings are kinda cool too (again, last verse when vocals are doubled over, one vocal is almost spoken, while at the same time the other is more typical jagger yellin). I thought it was good for its time, and is still fun to listen to now and then.

Remember the mtv video?? Watch the video on you tube, at the very end you will hear an early stones classic 'off the hook' being played in the background. I didn't tune into this back in '83, maybe you didn't either??

I love this song too."She was black, and her eyes were blue."Another great song about Mick Jagger's fascination with the jungle fever.Lol.And who can blame him,you get hooked on that real easy.Just ask this white boy here.

I was 13 when I got the Undercover album for christmas. Not a bad album really, and this song grabbed my attention straight away. The guitar style (chuck berry) was the hook for me, and I did enjoy the lyrics (what 13 y.o. wouldnt). However, I could never quite figure out what the lyrics were in the last verse. it sounded like some fancy french to me.. figured he was quoting some famous foreign poetry, or trying to sneak in some adult themed lyric under the guise of another language.

But looking at the real lyrics to the last verse now, I am pleasantly surprised with the imagery:

Down the avenue Into the lost bayou Into the tall bamboo Into the human zoo I wish you all the best I hope we meet again In a cold Chicago night

Very appropriate wrap-up of a song dripping with animalistic primal behavior.

Pretty sure the bit after "Think I'm goin off the rails, riding down the pleasure trails" is "Always take your passion where you find it". I was 16 when I bought this album, listened to over and over and over and over and over and over ;-)

Saw comments extolling the virtues of the Undercover album, i couldn’t agree more, I’ve always believed Undercover is underrated as Stones albums go, and as I hear it now I feel that even more strongly. There’s 4 CLASSIC tunes, maybe they’re “minor” classics, but the title track, Pretty Tied Up, Too Much Blood ???? and She Was Hot are all still HOT, man, and there’s a loose theme running thru the lp, 80s excess, the fascination with violence, South American death squads, all current-at-the-time topics...hell, some of those are still big news

@force263 I meant ‘Tie You Up’ to be one of the four classic tracks I named, but ‘Pretty Beat Up’ is a good song as well!

Now THAT was the Rolling Stones when they were truly "the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world." Not this slightly sad display of hit-recycling has beens who don't know when to quit. The pale, frantic, overstaged extravaganzas that they've been rolling out since the inflatable on-stage phallus lowpoint in 1975 are pure greed in action. Selling their brand to a new market of the offspring of the offspring of their original fan base and then some, purely because they (with the exception of Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor) lack the courage to fade away with some modicum of self-respect. And charging hundreds at the gate while they're at it. https://dissertationwritingservice.vip/
