The most underrated Stones song. I love this bombastic arrangement very much; it's amazing! This song is as good as Pait it Black, Angie, She's a Rainbow, Lady Jane, which are some of my all-time favourites.

Slightly wrong words - the first verse is 'you're out of touch my baby, my poor old-fashioned baby' (NOT discarded), and the second first should be 'you're obsolete my baby, my poor unfaithful baby', NOT old-fashioned!

These words are mixed up.
This was also the theme song for the Vietnam film 'Coming Home' . In the film, it is the husband ( Bruce Dern) coming home to find his wife in an affair w a wounded vet she met at the VA.
So he was 'Out of Time'.
