Just Wanna See His Face Lyrics
That's all right, that's all right, that's all right
Sometimes you feel like trouble, sometimes you feel down
Let this music relax you mind, let this music relax your mind
Stand up and be counted, can I get a witness
Sometimes you need somebody, if you have somebody to love
Sometimes you ain't got nobody and you want somebody to love
Then you don't want to walk and talk about Jesus
You just wanna see His face
You don't want to walk and talk about Jesus
You just wanna see His face
Sometimes you feel like trouble, sometimes you feel down
Let this music relax you mind, let this music relax your mind
Stand up and be counted, can I get a witness
Sometimes you need somebody, if you have somebody to love
Sometimes you ain't got nobody and you want somebody to love
Then you don't want to walk and talk about Jesus
You just wanna see His face
You don't want to walk and talk about Jesus
You just wanna see His face

Yeah the song evokes mood very well. One of my favorite Stone songs on probably my favorite Stone album.
am i only the one who adores this song? whenever i talk about my favorite stones songs i always mention this and people have no idea--even those who claim to be big stones fans. again, it's about the emotion, not the lyrics of the song, which are only discernable by reading them. the drum work is simply awesome. it feels like something you'd hear in a 1940s cajun joint, but this could only be done by the stones.
How can they be British and fit right into a little wooden box church in the black south with paint all peeled off swaying right along with the fat black mammas and the elbow swinging clappers? How dey do dat?!
So true. Mick must have been a Mississippi Delta bluesman or a sharecropper in a past life. He "gets" it so well, and from so far away!

surely they are the only band (Zepp) that could pull this off.
Personally i think these are among the best lyrics they ever wrote:
When you are down Let this music save you...
We all know exactally what Mick is talking about 'stand up and be counted, can i get a witness'
'Sometimes you ain't got nobody' and that's when we search for God.......but damn it i'd just like to see him .....show me some proof, Who the hell wants to walk and talk about it,,,,show me your face.....How true is it?
