Trailerpark Lyrics
Fist out
Fist out for the five
Fist out
I'm a country boy, I got no soul
Don't sleep at night, the world's growing old
I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones
I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones
Fist out for the five
Fist out
Don't sleep at night, the world's growing old
I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones
I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones

My take on "I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones" is a reference to Albarn's ex girlfriend going off with the lead singer of rival band Suede. The Rolling Stones have often been referred to as rivals to the Beatles.
I read an interview with Damon at the time this album came out, and he said that the "Rolling Stones" reference in this song was meant to represent a drugged, debauched lifestyle. He had just read a book or seen a documentary on the Stones and thought it fit. So, it's "I lost my girl to a drugged, debauched lifestyle."
yah, stickdog.i don't know why ,I'm just totally hooked with the 13 album.i wonder why no one post on their excellent songs on this album.
Supposedly Rick Rubin rejected it from being on Chef Aid.
And I like jordanmoore's take on the Rolling Stones line. I hadn't really thought about it, but it makes sense. Originally I pictured a small town boy who took his GF to a Stones concert and she ended up running away with the band. But I like the britpop rivalry angle as well.
What?! No posts on this song? I'm embarrassed! Anyway, ever since i saw Blur play this at Glastonbury i've been hooked. (they play it better live too). A chorus without any vocals isnt a common thing but this song somehow manages to flow fantastically. There, thats my thought anyhow.....
I don't really get the lyrics, but the music is great. Cool song :thumbs up:
I can't see any south park references. But is it just me or does this song just sound like the Gorilaz?
That'd be hard since this came out in 1999, while Damon's Gorillaz didn't release an album till 2001. ;)

APparrently according to Damon at the Gatsonbury gig in 98 this is about south park? any one see any references
south park is a country town maybe its based on a character in south park
and stickdog maybe the part that goes "I'm a country boy I got no Soul Don't sleep at night, the worlds growing old I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones I lost my girl to the Rolling Stones" is the chorus?
Hilarious. It's not about South Park, but it was intended to be put on a South Park album. Chef Aid, or something like that?
