Excellent excellent excellent song. The meaning is pretty obvious. A relationship went wrong, and both parties are wondering what they're crying for and what exactly happened. I love it when Paul sings "I'm wondering why - did we part at all"... so much soul!
Couldnt agree more. So much regret in the lyrics, losing someone who meant so much, his first love, and probably over some silly misunderstanding. We would all love to be in that situation, starting anew.
I just cried listening to the song while reading these lyrics. The so much pain and regret in this lyrics. From both of them. A beautiful song.
