Slacker Lyrics

he still drives late into the nite with a beer in his hand
a cigarette to blend he still hides all his contraband from all his friends right about this time you
can run and hide it takes time to wake an unclear mind a million thoughts in your head when the
concrete is your bed he still hides all the evidence from all his friends.

i have a different version of this song, for whatever reason, and the lyrics are as follows (let me know if anyone has this version also):

throw it all away, in the course of one day, why can't you just go outside? throw it all away, in the course of one day, why can't you just go outside? breathe in, exhale, you know you taste like cancer breathe in, exhale, you know you taste like cancer throw it all away, in the course of one day, why can't you just go outside? throw it all away, in the course of one day, why can't you just go outside? breathe in, exhale, you know you taste like cancer breathe in, exhale, you know you taste like cancer (repeat to end)

Does anybody else think that older pre-vagrant hot rod circuit is better? I sure as hell do. this is my favorite song off of "if i knew.." LP. It just seems to be the perfect song to listen to as your driving home at 3 a.m. I'm just pissed that having seen them 3 times, they never played this song live.

i think all of hrc's records are brilliant

all of the albums have something to offer. but the overall strength of the older albums i would agree is better

and bands seem to suck when time goes because you never got anything from the songs in the first place, just a catchy tune. they don't stick to you when they have no meaning, for you
