Something More Lyrics

I just opened up my eyes
And let the world come climbing in
It's all better now, things are gonna work somehow
If I just sleep another hour
Tried to reach you at your mom's
Hey baby why you trying to keep away for so long
I stopped feeling good, somehow I just knew I would
I guess I'll sleep another hour
Feels like I'm wasting my time
Hanging on this same old line
Got to get you off of my mind
There's nothing left for me to find

And all the more I want
All the more I need
All the while you want something more
All the more I want
All the more I need
All the while you want something more

Thought I found the words to say
Just to get you feeling fine over heels my way
But it don't matter how
I lost the word and nerve and now
There's nothing more for me to say
Feels like I'm wasting my time
Hanging on this same old line
There's nothing left for me to find

And all the more I want
All the more I need
All the while you want something more
All the more I want
All the more I need
All the while you want something

There's nothing left for me to say
Wanting what I need this way
And when I'm feeling low I know
I need to stop

And someday you will see
All the more you want
All the more you'll need me
All the while I'll be on to something more
And all the more you want
All the more you'll need me
All the while I want something more
I want something more
I want something more than this

Fantastic revenge kind of song. The guy got so hurt by that girl and kept coming back. It sounds to me like he begged her back and it still didn't work. Like he almost had her ... "thought I found the words to say, just get you feeling fine, over heels, my way." but he didn't and eventually he just says screw it and says someday you'll want me with you and I'll be off with something much better.

I've always loved this song, one of my favorites from Train and now I can completely relate it to my current relationship, not necessarily in a bad way. It really shows how important it is to appreciate the other person. For it to work, one of you has to be willing to fight for it each time. If not, they'll be on to something more.

I love this song...it very accurately describes a relationship I'm in right now. Which kind of sucks, but that's another story. I like Train a lot, and this is one of my favorites of their songs.

Is it just me or do all Train's songs have underlying meanings about relationships?

This song is about a relationship in which the man does everything he can for his girl, but still wants something more. But as the song goes on it ends up being the opposite. The man ends up wanting more from the woman. Great song

I love this song, i think it's a good one by train. In my eyes this song is about a relationship and the man tries his hardest to give everything he has to make a relationship work and no matter what he does it still doesn't work for him.

Here's the story, straight from Pat Monahan: -Guy meets girl -Guy falls in love and goes out with girl -Girl breaks it off -Girl goes out with another guy -Girl breaks that off and goes back to Guy -Guy doesn't have a girl but tells Girl that he does -Guy has a little pride "All the more you want. All the more you'll need me. All the while I want something more."

I like this song a lot. Makes me think that one day, the guy the guy that I went head over heels for will one day want me, but I will be on to something more. What goes around comes around.

To me this song is about a broken relationship. This guy is putting all of this effort into making the relationship work, but it's all in vain because the girl doesn't care and the relationship is beyond repair. It's in that place where both people know it's over and it's just a matter of accepting that and ending it. The girl wants something more but the guy just wants to hang on. This song is about a sort of revenge, but not in a violent sense. This whole time the guy has been trying to make the relationship work but the girl doesn't care about him anymore; she's found someone or something new. But in the end, the girl sees what an idiot she was and realizes how great the guy was and that she should have noticed sooner. And of course, the guy is on to something more. I love this song because it captures that feeling so perfectly-that feeling of wanting the other person in the relationship to appreciate you and see what an idiot they were for not, but being able to say, "It's too late, I've moved on." And the line "I lost the word and nerve and now" has this great poetic quality about it. -ChasingAStar-i think you're right, almost every Train song has an underlying meaning about a relationship, or at least on the Drops of Jupiter album.
