The music has a very seductive vibe to it however I think that's part of the plan as I remember Damon saying that this song was about the AIDS crisis.

Letmebe is right... forget the lyrics, the beat and swing of the song are perfect... it's very floaty and steamy... I always think of a girl with dark hair in black lingerie swinging her hips in red light when I hear the intro. I don't think that the song is really intended to have much of a meaning, they're just there to keep the song going.

This was always one of my favourites - lots of layers of sounds and waves of instruments include a subtle accordion in the background. I agree the lyrics don't seem to have an obvious meaning - other than it's somewhat sad or perhaps lacking in enthusiasm for much when he says "cos now I know nothing ever lasts"

This sounds like a psychopath trying to seduce a perfectly normal woman. He's obviously off his rocker, but he loves this girl. So he'll kill for her. Just a killer for her love.

This song always had me think of a greasy trucker hauling his 18-wheeler down an abandoned desert highway somewhere out in the boonies, blasting his radio to the music. Of course it doesn't match with the lyrics very well, but then again, what would?
