Great pickmeup song. My favorite line is probably the one that has the least to do with the theme of the song.

This song makes about as much sense as a parachute with holes in it. He talk's about not having a lot of money, BUT HE HAS A BIG SCREEN TV AND A COLLECTION OF DVDS. Oh yeah, and he might not have a lot of money, but he can afford to send this girl anywhere around the world. Last time I checked plane tickets to Japan are like $1,800 or something like that I'm not a travel agent. Plus the dude is totally full of himself, seriously. He calls himself a hottie and pretends to be hard 'like dirty harry'. Last time I check Dirty Harry didn't sing soprano nancy boy. Can anyone say 'one hit wonder'? My job here is done.

Now listen to the second verse in the song. Guess what's going on here? He his lying to each of these girls that he's having one-night-stands with and telling them he's got all this money, and a car, etc.. But in all reality, he's just a guy looking to be accepted by a woman for who he actually is.. a nobody. See how easy that...

I just bought the All Acoustic cd on itunes from BUOS, and Eliot says in the interview that he drove to meet a girl that he was talking to, and he was fascinated that she did not tell her friends that he was a musician and in a band. On the way home he just kept rotating the lines "She likes me for me" in his head and then he wrote this song.
well, i think the meaning of this song is pretty obvious. but this is such an awesome song.

the melody is so catchy! It's kinda funny when you listen to the song cause the singer goes: "flayed" with fargo. Who cares, it's still a nice song.
