Scenes From A Coffe House Lyrics
I remember Sunday nights at Kaldi's
I was never really down with coffee shops
A group of beatniks reading Kerouac
And the smell of grass from the parking lot
And as I recall
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
There's that guy who thinks he's Dylan
He plays guitar with the band
And he dedicates a song he thinks belongs to you and me
He must've seen us holding hands
But they don't know
We tried to cross that line before
But what we have is so much more
Cause now you will always be mine
And as I recall
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
We tried to cross that line before
But what we have is so much more
Cause now you will always be mine inside
And as I recall
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
And we still hold each other
And we still love each other
But we're just fine just being friends
I was never really down with coffee shops
A group of beatniks reading Kerouac
And the smell of grass from the parking lot
And as I recall
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
He plays guitar with the band
And he dedicates a song he thinks belongs to you and me
He must've seen us holding hands
But they don't know
But what we have is so much more
Cause now you will always be mine
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
But what we have is so much more
Cause now you will always be mine inside
We got to know each other
We got to show each other
That we were fine just being friends
And we still hold each other
And we still love each other
But we're just fine just being friends

Oh, this is about the sweetest song in the world. :) I have a male best friend with whom I have relationship just like this. It's such an optimistic song--"Even if we're not 'together' anymore, we'll be closer and better like this." Who couldn't love that?
this is how every breakup should be.
this is such a cool concept. Guy and girl become best friends, try to date, break up, and yet become even better friends because of it. I picture this song like the girl and the guy randomly chill at this shitty coffee house and just talk about life and make fun of the scenery and for a few hours create their own little world. Then they just get up and go back to their lives, saving stories until the next tiem they meet up
