its about breaking up and still feeling that something for that someone and still seeing it.. its a great song.. it feels like he was in my heart when he wrote it

It's about a person who is still madly in love with someone who doesn't want him, but he's hoping there's still that tiny chance left.
this song is so special to me...it totally represents my feelings about a relationship i was in...he played this song for me when we were coming to an end in our relationship and every time i hear it now i tear up bc it summed up both of our feelings on that specific night even though we knew the relationship was ending...its message/lyrics are so incredible, it moves me everytime i listen to it...

i love this part. it's so subtly tragic...we all have letters we never sent, words never said, yet still hoping the other person can understand how we truly feel about them. i think this part about having hope while not having courage.

anyone who has ever been in love and not been able to stay with that person forever for whatever reason knows exactly what this song means, and it is almost painful to listen to it, but you can't deny how well written and true this song is.
