Things Goin' On Lyrics

Have you ever lived down in the ghetto?
Have you ever felt the cold wind blow?
If you don't know what I mean,
Won't you stand up and scream?
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know.

Too many lives they've spent across the ocean.
Too much money been spent upon the moon.
Well, until they make it right
I hope they never sleep at night
They better make some changes
And do it soon.

They're goin ruin the air we breathe
Lord have mercy.
They're gonna ruin us all, by and by.
I'm telling you all beware
I don't think they really care
I think they just sit up there
And just get high.

Thank you all for your contributions, but you simply have got to awaken your minds to the BIGGER PICTURE...what Ronnie knew (and wrote about so very often) was that we are OWNED and OPERATED by a Fascist elite...a small group of "so-called" Bankers who print our money and own EVERYTHING of value to them, and that includes Governments, and all of their branches.

What Ronnie wrote in 1973 couldn't be more important/relevant than it is today...distraction and bullshit is rampant when EVERYTHING is falling apart, including this perfect Earth...there is no time left for frivolity, no TV, no football, no Hollywood movies...just real connection between all human beings...where we take back the control of our lives so that we can pursue the TRUTH of all things to the exclusion of all else...because Truth is LOVE and there is NOTHING more important!

Peace and Love to all...especially to Ronnie wherever he may be soaring through the Universe...

Sounds like the corruptness of the government to me.

Too many lives they've spent across the ocean.

Sending people to war^

Too much money been spent upon the moon.

Focusing upon moon travel when we have problems here on Earth

They're goin ruin the air we breathe

Pollution

close but not right. as the title obviosly states--its about the ghetto. the lines about sending too many people over the ocean and too much money on the moon refers to the misuse of the governments focus and loot that could of been spent on fixing the ghettos. the line about ruining the air is referin to how people blame shit on people in ghettos and i like the part about how "i think they just sit up there and just get high" shows the way people regard people i ghettos. good song. i dig the piano

Greg whites aren't the only ones fucking things up and since you apparently don't know the members were white its not talking about whites fucking things up its more like the rest of what you said politicians don't care and also what aniland and freebird said but no it doesnt say ghetto in the title but its one of the first words in the song your comment here and in Saturday night special makes me wonder if you even know what your saying

the title doesn't have the word "ghetto" in it. the song is about how the white man has f-ed things up and really doesn't care. neither the citizens nor the politicians. "just sit up there and just get high" is talking about presidents and congressmen who have a coutry club attitude, who don't give a whit for the common people.

"things going on that you don't know" is obviously a reference to secret government shenanigans.
