Well, have you ever lived down in the ghetto?
Have you ever felt the cold wind blow?
Well, if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream?
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know
Let it roll

Too many lives they've spent across the ocean
Too much money been spent upon the moon
Well, until they make it right
I hope they never sleep at night
They better make some changes
And do it soon
Do it now, do it to it

(Woo, kick it)

Well, they're goin ruin the air that we breathe
Lord have mercy
They're gonna ruin us all, by and by
I'm telling all you beware
I don't think they really care
I think they just sit up there
And just get high, take it to 'em

Well, have you ever lived down in that ghetto?
Have you ever felt the cold wind blow?
Well, if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream?
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know

Well, if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream?
'Cause there's things goin' on you don't know

Tell it
Tell it, tell it

Things goin' on, bad things

    My Interpretation

Thank you all for your contributions, but you simply have got to awaken your minds to the BIGGER PICTURE...what Ronnie knew (and wrote about so very often) was that we are OWNED and OPERATED by a Fascist elite...a small group of "so-called" Bankers who print our money and own EVERYTHING of value to them, and that includes Governments, and all of their branches.

What Ronnie wrote in 1973 couldn't be more important/relevant than it is today...distraction and bullshit is rampant when EVERYTHING is falling apart, including this perfect Earth...there is no time left for frivolity, no TV, no football, no Hollywood movies...just real connection between all human beings...where we take back the control of our lives so that we can pursue the TRUTH of all things to the exclusion of all else...because Truth is LOVE and there is NOTHING more important!

Peace and Love to all...especially to Ronnie wherever he may be soaring through the Universe...

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
