MFC Lyrics

Sliding out of reverse into drive.
This wheel will be turning right, then straight.
Off in the sunset she'll ride.
She can remember a time, denied.
Stood by the side of the road.
Spilled like wine now.
She's out on her own and line high.

There's no leaving here.
Ask I'm an ear.
She's disappeared, now. Oh...

They said that timing was everything.
Made him want to be everywhere.
There's a lot to be said for nowhere.

There's no leaving here.
Ask I'm an ear.
He's disappeared now.

There's no leaving here.
Ask I'm an ear.
Fuck it. We'll disappear, now.

MFC stands for Mini Fast Car. It was written when Pearl Jam was touring in Europe and Eddie couldn't believe how small but fast the cars were in Europe.

on the dvd "single video theory", which by the way is awesome, its basically the recording sessions of the album "yield", eddie says this about the song. "obviously this song is when your in a car and just trying to get the fuck out of a bad situation". great song, and pretty easy to play on the guitar.

Matzy94, your explanation is new to me. I really didnt had idea what does MFC stands for. But, who does Ed refer to when he said "she can remember..." or "she´s out..."?

A very catchy tune I think it's kind of like Rearviewmirror just getting out of there! A great driving song for the car One of the "few good Yield song" though? C'mon, Yield is one of their top 3 albums! Awesome album

"one of the few really good songs on yield"? that cd is great. i always thought the title stood for "mini f'ing cooper" though.

I only have four albums but I find it kind of funny there's a song about cars/driving away on each of them (well, maybe not on Ten. Haven't listened to that one in a while). Guess it's a popular thought in Vedder's mind.

My Opinion

I'm new to Pearl Jam and dreamt that I looked up this song in Youtube... Didn't even know what MFC stood for. Find out now it's about driving and that it was written in Europe.

I live in Europe. I am currently learning how to drive and i've been really stressed about wether i'm gonna make it.

So weird. But I take this as a sign I will indeed make it and drive around myself soon...

one of the few really good songs on "yield"
