Come on and brace your face
Engulfed up in the rat race we hold our futures down
So just resist the plot and find the answer
Etched eternal
As we self destruct

[Chorus]
Day by day
One by one
More example of disrespect
That you seem to offer no more than complete neglect
A generation with fate all tied
This ain't a game
We don't enjoy this ride

Try to perceive the lie
All caught up in your own high
Opinions of yourself
Should be concerned about your life
There's been enough strife to crash a persons hope
And as the days delay our every other move
We've been consumed by apathy
That's right
It has become a pain
Inside my brain is screaming
Look what you've done to me

[chorus]

Break
Its just the break we're givin em
Break
Its just the break that you're givn' em
Break

Laid to waste out in the open
Turned away once again
This isn't right
This ain't supposed to happen
Now life's too short
We shouldn't have to die
And I have had to stop all of my emotions
Why
Oh bittering faith escapes again, again
Just look at what we have done
Will you look at who we've become
Priorities astray
It goes on and on each day
We've wrecked their only try
And still we wonder why
We're recipients
Of hate Motherfucker

Break your back
Just once and then you know
You gotta
Face your fright
That's right
Yeah
With your five second morals and your three second smile
You just
Face your fright
That's right
Yeah
With your five second morals and your three second smile
You just
Face your fright
That's right
Yeah
With your five second morals and your three second smile
You just
Face your fright
That's right
Yeah
With your five second morals and your three second smile
You just

This is just my oppion but I think it is agout how you start out in life trying to do the right thing and treat people right but slowly you find that the world doesn't work that way so you have to abandon your beliefs/morals and adopt socities false morals. Then once you do that you don't like it and you hate that life has made you do it but you can't go back and still be able to make it in the world. Looking at the lyrics:

" Come on and brace your face Engulfed up in the rat race we hold our futures down So just resist the plot and find the answer etched eternal as we self destruct " =

Someone starting out in life on there own. that start to see things how they are but he/she doesn't give in at first and they try to find a way to keep their morals/beliefs even though society seems to be tearing itself apart.

"day by day one by one more example of disrespect that you seem to offer no more than complete neglect a generation with fate all tied this aint and game we dont enjoy this ride try to perceive the lie" =

The person has more things happen to him/her and sees more things that are wrong with the way things work and can't see a way to change them. He/She realizes that others may not like what they have become but they put up an act to hide it and have become jaded.

"all caught up in your own high opinions of yourself should be concerned about your life theres been enough strife to crash a persons hope and as the days delay our every other move" =

The person is on the edge of breaking down and doing what everyone else does. Everything they do in line with what is right or the way things should be doesn't work so they are telling themselves that they should just stop being concerned about others or how things should be and just do what they have to to get what they want and need.

"we've been consumed by apathy thats right it has become a pain inside my brain is screaming look what you've done to me" =

He/She has finally broke. They have gave in to society and become what it is and he/she hates society for doing this.

"Break its just the break we're givin em its just the break that you`re givn' em layed to waste out in the open turned away once agian this isn't right this ain't supposed to happen now life's too short we shouln't have to die and i have had to stop all of my emotions why oh bittering faith escapes agian, agian" =

He/She has been playing socity's game for awhile now and doing to others what was done to him/her. By playing along, he/she has survived and just as he/she has gotten used to doing so socity has droped them for someone new/younger/better. They have been used up and it seems that life has gotten the last laugh.

"just look at what we have done will look at who we've become priorities astray it goes on and on each day we've wrecked their only try and still we wonder why we're recipients of hate Motherf*cker break your back just once and then you know you gotta face your fright that's right yeah with your five second morals and your five second smile you just" =

Now that he/she is no longer apart of that "rat race" he/she can once again see all that is wrong just like they could when they started out but now he/she has to live with what they did and accept the consequence of their actions.

Let me just state again that this is my view of the song and that I havn't read any interviews with the band that sate this. I just feel this is what the song means and I can relate to it if that is the case because I have felt this way about society myself.

Just saw a live version of this on youtube and he said the song is about changing flaws in others by changing them in yourself first.

This song is mad hard to understand. I love the bridge though. It's the "easiest" part to get. What I get from it (and i'm most likely wrong, but this is what it makes me think of), is that he and someone else, perhaps many others, have been terribly cruel to someone or a group of people. After treating the person like shit for so long, he regrets what he's done and how it is hurting his life. Kinda makes me think of how I was mad ass mean to people in high school, and looking back, I feel bad.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
