Do you think it's melancholy? .. To me, it seemed more like an "Awww crap, I did it again.. why can't I just get it right?" type things.. wistful frustration.. <-- If that makes any sense.

This is one of the most beautiful, yet melencholie songs i have ever heard. It works for so many situations. I know everyone can relate to this one at sometime or another.

The meaning of this song is probably pretty apparent. I love the guitar part (and his voice!). It's so adorable when he stops and then picks up again and says, "One more thing... why's it my fault?"
good god it's like he's speaking directly out of my head!!! I always do that type of thing! And sometimes i just wish i could stop and never open my stupid mouth again. Every word is perfectly descriptive of my situation. Even the whole chess with the salt and pepper thing! I love songs like this that I think maybe I could've written if I only had a pen and paper at that moment. He's a great artist, though I fear he'll draw many comparisons to Dave Matthews. But hey.....if you're gonna be compared at least it should be someone good, right????

totally agree with stincubus, took the words completely out of my mouth. i cant get over the amazing imagery in this song. and it is textured by such a seet acoustic sound. i'm gonna cry. its so good!
it kills me when he says "one more thing..." how a person can have the guts to stand there and sing, "i just wanna be liked, i just wanna be funny, looks like the jokes on me,..." and not seem pathetic, rather soulful and sweet and honest... damn.. i wish i'd have written that song.

lol me and my friend were listening to this in class one day and we both loved the favorite part when hes like "im never speanking up again, starting now...........OMG MORE THING" we were dying. it was great how u cant totally relate to him wonder if he'll marry me lol
