Soul Into Hades Lyrics
Mother the day has come
Someone is trying to take my life away
And you've got to know
That now I'm feeling worst
It seems to dream
I'm still standing here in front
Of your soul
Looking into your fireless eyes
Right now I'm one too many
It's hard to say you may believe it
That everything I'll do for me
Will be in the name of your lonely tear
But stay now
I'll do
I believe in your power
Will you believe in me?
It is something for...
We are living no more
Can't you tell me girl
What I should say and where I'll go tonight?
Maybe in a dream
I'll go between the sun and shining stars
don't worry
I'll be there with you whenever you are
Right now I'm one too many
It's hard to say
You must believe it
That everything I'll do for me
Will be in the name of your lonely tear
But stay now
I'll do
I believe in your power
Will you believe in me?
It is something for...
We are living no more
Deep in you heart so alone
Someone is trying to take my life away
And you've got to know
That now I'm feeling worst
It seems to dream
Of your soul
Looking into your fireless eyes
Right now I'm one too many
It's hard to say you may believe it
Will be in the name of your lonely tear
But stay now
I'll do
I believe in your power
Will you believe in me?
We are living no more
What I should say and where I'll go tonight?
Maybe in a dream
I'll go between the sun and shining stars
I'll be there with you whenever you are
Right now I'm one too many
It's hard to say
You must believe it
Will be in the name of your lonely tear
But stay now
I'll do
I believe in your power
Will you believe in me?
We are living no more

I think this song is about depression. I think Andi's character is feeling depressed while Cristina's character is trying to help Andi overcome his depression. I think he's at a point where he just wants to get away and she's helping him how to deal
I don't think it's just depression, I think it's death, and the fear of death. Once again really great English lyrics come from a foreign band -- a lot of writers who call English a first language can't get the same depth and meaning from such simple words the way bands like Lacuna Coil do.
This song has some really beautiful aspects lyrically, the choral section comes to mind. "It's hard to say/see, you must believe it," seems apparent to me to embody the concept of faith to comfort a dying person; not to worry, because death will supposedly carry us into the afterlife, it's difficult to believe since we can't see it but you must believe it. The same prospect seems to be used by the dying to comfort himself as well, "maybe in a dream I'll go between the sun and shining stars".
The title being "Soul into Hades," I think all in all it's a real work of art and an interesting look into death as a subject in music... like much good art, it may be about a much over-used subject, but it offers a beautiful look into it, and one with very real human connections in this case.
