Bottled Violence Lyrics
Get your bravery from a six pack
Get your bravery from a half-pint
Drink your whiskey, drink your grain
Bottoms up, and you don't feel pain
Go out and fight, fight
Bottled Violence
Lose control of your body
Beat the shit out of somebody
Half-shut eyes don't see who you hit
You don't take any shit
Go out and fight, fight
Bottled Violence
Get your bravery from a half-pint
Drink your whiskey, drink your grain
Bottoms up, and you don't feel pain
Bottled Violence
Beat the shit out of somebody
Half-shut eyes don't see who you hit
You don't take any shit
Bottled Violence

i love this song, exactly how i feel
Exactly how you feel?...this song is about how he does not encourage drinking because it just causes trouble..."Lose control of your body Beat the shit out of somebody Half-shut eyes don't see who you hit You don't take any shit "
i think thats what she/he meant about it.. they feel the same towards those people
the song is obviously about how people who drink and then fight people are dumb. "get your bravery from a six pack" probably means that they're only brave if they're drunk. really good song.
He could be saying that he's the one who drinks then fights.
But probably not... but i heard he started drinking... another vicious rumour.
Another FALSE rumour. It's about the knuckleheads who'd only go to shows to get drunk and beat each other up, who'd go get drunk so they'd go out and do stupid things to make them feel like 'men'. I know what he's talkin about, i know plenty of people who go out and drink because they don't like who they are, and for some reason they preffer being drooling, incoherent violent slobs. Anyway, that's what i think Ian's saying. That's what the song means to me.
deffinatly a false rumour and i completly agree with shadowwiththeeyes
another classic straight edge anthem penned by sir ian mackaye
possibly the greatest 54 seconds of hardcore. this is just pure satire of the binge drinking culture - and the kind of drug that alcohol generally is. you go out to get hammered, lose your judgment, start fights that you wouldnt normally start. just generally reflecting mackayes views on drink
