Sheesh, theorby, you've got an axe to grind! Why are you so angry with organized religion, and why would it take brainwashing to convince somebody to wait for true love? If you take a look at the writings of C.S. Lewis and Ravi Zacharias, you'll find that Christianity is deeply rooted in logic. I would suggest "Mere Christianity" by Lewis(also "Out of the Silent Planet", if you like sci fi), and you can listen to tons of archived broadcasts of Zahcarias' radio program at his website(www.rzim.org). Take a look, it may alter your perspective, and I promise we won't lock you in a barn with people singing "Kum bay yah" and feed you only beans and rice.
When I was 14 I went to camp and our counselor tuaght us about waiting for true love. He told us that he waited not only for sex, but also his first kiss. Yep, his wedding kiss was his first kiss. I then decided I would make the same commitment. I am now 18 and going off to college this coming school year, and I can't wait until I meet that special girl. I've spent my teenage years dreaming of the one God has for me, and songs like this have helped me to keep my commitments.
