I first heard this song from an ex-gf of mine who described this song as a good example of our lives and relations. That was 3 years ago. Fast forward to now. I'm 17 and now I know the song is true. I miss the woman I love(my ex Kat) and if I had swallowed my pride as this song puts it I would still be with her. Thus the song asks for their loved ones to not give up on them while fess up to their faults.
That's my personal belief.
