Your Life Is Now Lyrics

See the moon roll across the stars
See the seasons turn like a heart
Your father's days are lost to you
This is your time here to do what you will do

Your life is now your life is now your life is now
In this undiscovered moment
Lift your head up above the crowd
We could shake this world
If you would only show us how
Your life is now

Would you teach your children to tell the truth
Would you take the high road if you could choose
Do you believe you're a victim of a great compromise
'Cause I believe you could change your mind and change our lives

(repeat chorus)

Would you teach your children to tell the truth
This is your time here to do what you will do

(repeat chorus twice)

I agree with NeonLoveChick it definatly speaks to the younger generation. I think what its basically telling you is to live right, make an impact in the lives of those around you and to live for the moment. JM's one of my all time favorite artists.

Keep on rockin John!

I think this song i directed toward the younger generation. I love this part: "'Cause I believe you could change your mind and change our lives" John writes beautiful songs, and this is no exception.

John comes from a deeply religious family and though he has been a prodigal son for most of his youth, as he grows older, he has begun to return to those Christian roots (See his new video/song "A Ride Back Home"). The "you" in this song is John's appeal to Jesus Christ - it is Jesus Christ who can "change our lives". Of course, John will never be 'preachy'. It's a turn off and he's not that way. He was purposely vague in the wording and yet clear enough for those who know to understand.
