yo llegue al significado de esta cancion despues que mi ex rompio conmigo, y quisas aya un poco de bias en mi enterpretacion.

Para mi la cancion se la canta un hombre a una mujer. La mujer lo a dejado, pero el esta seguro que ella esta siega a sus sentimientos verdaderos hacia el. El cree que sus recuerdos son de una vida en que ellos eran felizes juntos. El estar dormida significa que sus recuerdos y sentimientos estan escondidos dentro de ella. Al estar escondidos sus recuerdos ella vive sin reconcer que el la quiere y ella a el.

Pero bueno, mi interpretacion fue influenciada por mi angustia de querer regresar con mi ex, y el pensar y estar seguro que ella sentia lo mismo pero tenia miedo de admitirselo a si misma.

Aunque mis sentimientos de angustia y mi suspuesto "amor" se han ido, aun siento que esta cancion tiene que ver con sentimientos que no se quieren reconocer, y el otro querer habra los ojos.

I this this song is about feelings that are hidden and dont want to be recognized. The story told through the lyrics is of a man that was left by his significant other, and he is convinced that although she left him, she still has feelings for him and doesnt want to admit to herself. The meaning of being asleep with memories [of them being happy] is that although the feelings are there, her eyes are being bandaged and she is blinded to the truth of her feelings. the man is in anguish because he loves her, and he has convinced himself that she loves him but is not ready to admit, or is afraid of commitment, or afraid of being in love and hurt etc.

Although this is a sad song because of the anguish he feels, there is hope, because he knows that she is only asleep to those feelings and that sooner or later she will awaken and realize that she loves him.
